Synergistic Activities:

1) Member of Technology Advisory Group for DOE’s Integrated Technologies Remediation Demonstrations where innovative solutions using newly developed (by universities, federal agencies, and the private sector) environmental cleanup technologies and strategies are demonstrated and evaluated.

2) PI and Member of the Consortium for Environmental Risk Evaluation (CERE) at Tulane University’s Medial Center. CERE is a consortium of scientists and health professionals from universities, federal agencies and the private sector who provide health research of exposure to toxic agents with an emphasis on risk reduction to individuals and populations.

3)In collaboration with CDC/ATSDR, Division of Health Assessments and Consultation, developed web-based training modules, pubic information materials, short-courses and community outreach programs to disseminate public health information. These health assessment information materials have been used by state regulatory agencies, medical professionals, tribal entities, universities and K-12 schools to educate and inform individuals on potential health impacts from exposure to toxic substances.
